Premium Puppy Dog Food
$28.99 – $329.99
Description
Depending on the breed, it will take anywhere from 10 months to 1.5 years for your dog to be fully grown. During its growing period, a puppy needs the right nutrients and enough calories to support its growing size. Our Premium Puppy Food is specifically formulated to be higher in proteins and fats so your puppy grows into a healthy adult dog.
Pregnant dogs should be eating puppy food throughout their pregnancy until the puppies are weaned. An excess of some vitamins can be toxic to your dog so please check with your Vet before giving your dog extra vitamins. Too much calcium can cause skeletal problems, especially in large-breed puppies; too much vitamin A can harm blood vessels and cause dehydration and joint pain. Excess vitamin D can prompt a dog to stop eating, harm bones, and cause muscles to atrophy.
Our puppy food has organic kelp . Kelp is important for maintaining health and is a excellent revitalizer. It can promote better digestion, healthy skin and coat, healing from injuries, higher resistance to infection ,larger litters and easier birthing.
We recommend feeding smaller dogs for one year unless they are a breed that has the inherited trait of hip dysplasia. If your dog is diagnosed with hip dysplasia, ask your Vet how long you should feed your puppy our puppy food formula. Larger dogs should start phasing out puppy food around 9 months to help prevent hip dysplasia from developing too fast. You can read more about Hip Dysplasia in Dogs.
